Nate was a natural leader. All through h.s. we were members of a B'nai Brith club and Nate was the longest serving president. He was charming, funny and handsome. He rose to statewide president of this organization. Following h.s. graduation, Nate, Mark Becker and I spent a weekend in Atlantic City. During h.s. and the summer months, we spent many a Friday and Saturday nights on Walnut Street watching girls drive by. Nate had a great confidence and had many dates and girlfriends. When I was in town from college, I always made it a point to hang out with Nate and Mark Becker. They would take me to their fraternity house in Oakland and we would shoot pool and talk the night away. Nate went on to become a lawyer, but died not long after. He died way too young. I remember one time when we were on Walnut Street and Nate told me that if I was ever picked up by the police that I should answer all of their questions if they failed to advise me of my rights based on a new supreme court decision (Miranda v. Arizona).who thought about things like that! He was so bright and talented. Steve Rosenfield
