Everyone called him Jake.  He was one of my closest and dearest friends.  We both played baseball at TA and  were both fortunate to recieve baseball scholarships to Point Park.  Jake was very gentle and kind---always wanting to offer a helping hand.  We remained good friends throughout the years.  Jake's passion always was baseball.  He continued playing almost to when he passed away.  He was visiting our good friend Coach Giovani in Florida when he suffered a severe stroke and passed away several years later.  Jake had a lovely wife and two daughters---He will always be in my prayers and will  truly be missed.

I was saddened to hear of the untimely passing of Jake Sable. He was a gentleman and liked by the student body, a truly "good guy"; he will be sorely missed. Many passings of the class of 1966 just break my heart as we aren't high school students anymore, but by today's standards we aren't that old either.

My condolences to the Sable family and hope that the upcoming days will soon become more  good than not so good. Keep the faith in these awful life situations.

Sincerely,

Buddy Klemp

I did not know Jack Sable very well in highschool but am so saddened by the news of his passing.  Our class is dwindling and it makes me very sad.  We just aren't that old that so many of us are gone.

My thoughts go out to Jack's family, friends and all whose lives he touched.
