Stan Kaufman and I were very good friends in high school and we continued our relationship  through his life.  He  was devoted to his profession and served admirably in government service and left  a legacy working with Senator Joe Lieberman  and other  government leaders on Environmental policy issues.

I had the pleasure spending time with him in Florida and knew full well the battle he fought. He was always positive and upbeat and never gave in.

I will truly miss him. He was indeed a very special person.  May  his light continue to shine in our hearts as we remember him.
